The Bridgton Academy Team Traveled down to Avon CT last Wednesday to play Avon Old Farms. They are ranked 10th in the country in high school teams. It was a tough game as we were down early. We never recovered although we made a late run and came close but we had too many penalties. The final score was 13-9.
Alec Westerhoff (Le Grange Park, IL) and Matt Stango (Jupiter, FL) lead the scoring with two goals apiece. Ian Farley (Camillus, NY) and Spencer Matches (Sammamish, WA) each added a goal and an assist. Jeremy Buckley (Norwell, MA), Jeff Pearce (Stonington, CT), and Sean Fosse (New York, NY) all tallied goals as well. Colin Nesdale (Cheshire, CT) played in net and recorded 14 saves in the game.
