Lacrosse Falls to Navy Prep

The lacrosse team started off their season this weekend as they traveled to Navy Prep. While the team played hard, Navy took the win with a score of 14-4. When the team was down by ten goals after the first half, they never gave up. In the second half, the Wolverines held Navy to four goals.

In the effort, Blake Pendelton (Wayland, MA), Dylan Parlee (Essex, MA), Ryan O’Sullivan (Centerville, VA), and Teddy Wright (Copiague, NY) each netted goals for the Wolverines. Parlee and O’Sullivan added assists as well as Nick Gorassi (Sandwich, MA). Both goal tenders saw action in the game. Chris Smith (Montclair, NJ) stated things off and stopped six shots, with Tyler Abernathy (Winston Salem, NC) tallying nine saves of his own.

While the loss was upsetting, Coach Bamann was able to look at it positively saying, “we had some positives and negatives, but all in all it was a great learning experience for our team. I am proud of the guys for never giving up."
