Conor J. Daley

What is your hometown?
Branford, CT.

Where did you go to High School?
Branford High School.

Previous Team (If different than high school):
Branford Hornets.

How did you hear about BA?
A kid who lived directly behind me came here two years ago- a good football player, Brandon Murphy.

What are your goals at BA?
To maintain above a 3.5 and commit to division 1.

Where are you looking for college?
I'm committed to the University of Hartford for lacrosse and planning to study environmental engineering.

Is BA different than your high school?  If so, how?
Yes, extremely different.  I had the opportunity to slack off and do whatever I wanted in high school.  Bridgton is a much better environment for being educated.

What is the best thing about BA?
Being able to ski- the very fact that it’s close to the mountains.

What is the worst thing about BA?
 The extraordinary overload of testosterone.

What activities do you take part in at BA?
Experiences:
Candy making, Dog Walking, Basket making, downhill skiing.
I also played soccer for a little bit and took part in dorm wars dodgeball.

What activities do you take part in outside of BA?  Hobbies?
I enjoy backcountry skiing, soccer, wakeboarding, surfing, kitesurfing, longboarding, snowboarding and fishing.

Who is your role model?
Lionel Messi.  He is arguably the best soccer player in the world but mostly because, despite his relatively short height, he’s become as great as he has.  He is a true inspiration for me in lacrosse.

What is your favorite book?
Scar Tissue, an autobiography of the lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.  Author, Anthony Kledis.

What is your favorite movie?
Last of the Mohegans.

What is your favorite type of music?
Reggae.

Who is your favorite band / musician?
A band called Pepper, out of Hawaii.

What is your favorite sports team?
The Spanish National Soccer Team- their playing is the "prettiest" thing to watch.

Who is your favorite athlete?
A local town hero, Sam Barnes.  He played lacrosse at Notre Dame during the national championship
of 2009.  He was the number one lockdown champion at the time so is very inspirational to me.

What is your favorite meal?
A nice, well-cooked tuna steak.

What is your favorite quote and who said it?
We have a life to live, so go to Hell if what you’re thinking is not right!
            - Bob Marley

What would your friends be surprised to know about you?
A few things.  First, I’ve been getting good grades since I’ve come here.  Second, I’ve dumped my bad habits for good.  Finally, I've learned to respect myself much more.

What would you like prospective BA students to know?
This year is what you put into it.  If you come here with a bad attitude and unwilling to work, you won’t get anything out of it.  If you go into it with a good attitude and accepting of what it is, you will take something from it, whether it be one year from now, five years from now, or later on in your life.
